James C. Miller III

Miller is a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University. He has written over a hundred articles in professional journals and is the author, co-author, or editor of nine books, the most recent of which is Monopoly Politics, published by the Hoover Institution.

Miller served on President Reagan's Cabinet as director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) from 1985 to 1988. He was chairman of the Federal Trade Commission from 1981 to 1985. He also served as an associate director of the OMB, where he established President Reagan's program of regulatory relief.
